Day 01: Haridwar to Guptkashi
After breakfast, begin the journey from Haridwar to Guptkashi, passing through scenic mountain roads and beautiful river valleys.
During the drive, travellers will witness the Mandakini River, which originates from Kedarnath and flows through the Garhwal region. On arrival in Guptkashi, visit the famous Ardh Narishwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
After sightseeing, check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged in Guptkashi.
About Guptkashi
The name Guptkashi means “Hidden Kashi.” According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva hid here while avoiding the Pandavas who were seeking his blessings after the Mahabharata war. The town holds great spiritual significance and serves as an important stop for pilgrims visiting Kedarnath.
Day 02: Guptkashi to Kedarnath
Early in the morning, proceed towards Sonprayag, the base point for the Kedarnath journey.
From Sonprayag, pilgrims travel to Gaurikund, from where the trek to Kedarnath begins. Devotees can reach the temple either by trekking, pony, palki, or helicopter services.
Upon reaching Kedarnath Temple, perform darshan of Lord Shiva and experience the divine atmosphere of the temple surrounded by the majestic Himalayan peaks.
Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged in Kedarnath.
Day 03: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
After morning prayers and breakfast, begin the return journey from Kedarnath back to Gaurikund and Sonprayag.
From there, drive back to Guptkashi and check in to the hotel. The rest of the evening is free for relaxation after the pilgrimage.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in Guptkashi.
Day 04: Guptkashi to Joshimath
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Joshimath, a scenic town located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
The journey offers breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, and traditional Himalayan villages. On arrival in Joshimath, check in to the hotel and relax.
Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged in Joshimath.
Day 05: Joshimath to Badrinath
After breakfast, proceed towards Badrinath Dham, one of the most sacred temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Pilgrims traditionally take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, a natural hot water spring located near the temple, before visiting the shrine.
After darshan at Badrinath Temple, you may also visit nearby attractions such as:
- Mana Village – the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border
- Vyas Gufa – believed to be where Sage Ved Vyas composed the Mahabharata
- Bhim Pul – a natural rock bridge across the Saraswati River
- Vasudhara Falls – a beautiful waterfall near Badrinath
After sightseeing, return to Joshimath for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06: Joshimath to Haridwar
After breakfast, begin the return journey to Haridwar.
Upon arrival in Haridwar, pilgrims can visit Har Ki Pauri and experience the peaceful spiritual atmosphere of the holy Ganga River.
The tour concludes with divine blessings and memorable experiences of visiting Kedarnath and Badrinath.
